She returned home empty-handed, again.

For the last three days, she wasn’t able to sell anything and had to bear losses. Nobody was interested in buying flowers during the crisis.

She had heard how an invisible enemy, originated a few thousand miles away, was causing this panic and robbing millions like her of their bread and butter.

She looked at the flowers in her basket. They looked withered.

“Amma”, her daughter rushed out to greet her.

For a moment, the smile on her daughter’s face and her shiny little eyes made her forget all her worries.

“I should start selling something else from tomorrow. Vegetables would be a good idea.” she thought to herself as she entered her daughter’s warm embrace.
