Soulless buildings. Empty eyes. Quick feet. Forced smiles. The city life is relentless; unforgiving almost.
One uneventful evening, your daughter looks at you with pleading eyes. You don’t want her to live the same life as you have. Do you, you wonder? With a painfully guilty heart, you ask for a couple of days of escape.
You are here now. Freedom did not look this beautiful. Or maybe it did. The laughter is not forced anymore. The coconut water not half as bland. There is something about the cacophony of happy people. It collects your dilapidated bits and hugs them back to together.
A couple of days of bittersweet escape.
