Twinnin'
by Tanya Timble
“Our mother has always bought things in pairs, one for Srila and one for me”, chimed Maniti. With the kind of excitement that gets you excited.
The photographer walked on an undulating and dusty road. Looking to capture something that would shake her innards. A cackle broke the dust. Two young ladies, with skin that shone like lush golden caramel, laughed and whispered looks that spoke of unspoken truths and bitter connections. In that moment, they were infinite.
The photographer found her subjects. They posed with poised dignity, barely managing to hold their broken chuckles. What is it about unabashed laughter that titillates the human soul so?
